About des Islets

Hi, I’m Randy.

I’ve been designing flowers for over a decade, but des Islets was born in 2020—out of equal parts passion, pressure, and a quiet refusal to give up on something I knew I was meant to build.

I’m an artist in every sense of the word. I’ve been making jewelry and painting for as long as I can remember—creating has never been optional for me, it’s how I process the world. Flowers just happened to become the loudest, most alive medium I work with.

This business is deeply personal. I live with Multiple Sclerosis, and there are days my body slows me down in ways I didn’t choose. But if anything, it’s sharpened how I see beauty. It’s taught me to be present, to create with intention, and to pour meaning into every single piece that leaves my hands. Nothing here is rushed, and nothing is without feeling.

des Islets isn’t about perfect, cookie-cutter florals. It’s about honesty. It’s about arrangements that feel like something—like a memory, a moment, a person.

I love Jesus. I also cuss more than I probably should. Both things are true at the same time. My faith grounds me, but I’ll never pretend to be polished or put together in a way that isn’t real. What you see here is what you get—and that’s exactly how I connect with my clients.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about flowers.

It’s about people.

It’s about sitting across from someone and understanding what matters to them—then translating that into something tangible. Something they can hold, remember, and feel long after the moment has passed.

If you’re looking for florals that feel like you—not just something pretty, but something true—you’re in the right place.
